Now available for sale is a somewhat odd factory error freight car as it has only one brakewheel mounted to the frame -- the second brakewheel (on the opposite end) was never installed! Additionally, this all-original ore dump car from 1950 -- including many "extras" as originally sold by Lionel.
This ore dump car has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and is fully operational and is the early version with staple-end trucks. In addition to the car, also included are the original box, insert, instructions (dated 1950), complete and undamaged original # 160 dump bin plus a bag of # 207 coal (approximately half full). The black paint on the freight car is nice and clean while the side lettering is crisp and complete. The original box is in decent condition and includes the original insert, but a couple of interior flaps are missing. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on the base, dump bin nor trucks.
