Up for sale is an original 3330 operating submarine in its original Lionel 3330 Flatcar with Operating Submarine Kit Box. The submarine is complete, undamaged and in excellent condition. The only slight signs of usage are on the Lionel Corporation plastic bottom window which has light scratching from loading / unloading the sub onto the freight car. Lastly, the sub has been tested and still works as designed by Lionel.
As for the factory error part of this freight car -- flatcar is missing the "3330" numbers on both sides. Additionally, the couplers are non-operating couplers instead of traditional operating couplers usually found on the 3330 flatcar. Lastly one of the stake holes on the flatcar was never opened (all shown in the photos above). Due to the one hole being sealed closed, the metal retainer that holds the sub on the flatcar's surface had to be moved closer to the brake wheel to accommodate the sub since the center stake hole was closed.
As for the original box, it is properly numbered 3330-7 and does have a few small pieces of tape on the end flaps. The original price tag is from "Polk Bros.".
