Now available for sale an absolutely gorgeous, near-new ore dump car from 1952. This freight car has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and is fully operational. The exterior paint is in perfect condition while the side lettering and graphics are crisp, clean and complete. Unlike most ore dump cars, there are no paint nicks, chips nor blemishes on the sides nor top from usage. Lastly, this ore dump car is free of rust and oxidation and is the later version with bar end trucks.
In addition to the freight car itself, this sale includes several other items as originally sold by Lionel:
- Clean, complete and undamaged original instructions dated 1952.
- Complete and undamaged bakelite # 160 dump bin.
- Original cloth bag of # 207 coal -- which is about 90% full.
- Original and complete light blue inspection tag -- which is the correct color for 1952.
- Solid and clean Middle Classic box. The box has all internal and external flaps, no tape but there is some shelf wear and minor aging on the exterior.
- Original and complete packing insert that is free of tears.
