Now available for sale is a nice and clean, fully functional 3454 Operating Merchandise box car and is the earlier 1946 variation with the hidden roof hinge pin on the side. The freight car has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and it operates correctly, except the first cam step to open the door sometimes needs to be activated two or three times, but once opened, it cycles perfectly and the door closes at the end of the cycle. The exterior silver is nice and clean with minor rub marks, minimal signs of handling plus the side lettering and graphics are crisp and complete. The freight car includes six reproduction brown crates with the Baby Ruth lettering and the door guides, frame and trucks are extremely clean with no signs of rust nor oxidation.
