Product Overview
Condition: NOS Original Box: N/A Year: 1952
Here's an unused, New Old Stock # 310 complete set of billboards from 1952!
Up for sale is an unused, never opened and complete set of ten postwar billboards as offered by Lionel in 1952. These flat sheets of billboards were offered in all sets throughout 1952 as well as being available for separate sale -- plus are extremely difficult to find in unused condition. Additionally, the perimeter perforation is 99% complete and still attached -- which is rather difficult to locate these days.
As seen in the photo above, eight of the ten billboards are complete, not torn nor repaired, have vibrant colors and are free of staining but there is a hint of aging along the perimeter. However, the top two billboards (Plymouth & Wrigley's Gum) have a portion of their cardboard torn from the billboard. This tear appears to be from the original glue used to seal an outfit box back in 1952 -- which leaked onto the billboards and was torn when the set box was opened. In any case, there is damage to the top two billboards. Otherwise, the remaining eight billboards are a gem -- they are beautiful! If you're looking to complete a 1952 Lionel train set, this is the ultimate add-on to include in your outfit!
Please note: this lot is solely for the billboards, billboard frames are not included.
