Up for sale is a beautiful and all-original Sunoco single dome tank car from the mid-1940's. This tank car has the following features:
- Externally, the tank car body has nice and clean with vibrant silver paint.
- The tank car body is straight and free of dings and dents.
- There is no rust nor oxidation on the staple-end trucks, tank car body nor coil couplers.
- This variation is assumed to be 1946 production and is somewhat harder-to-find variation with the 2555 number as part of the side decals. Additionally, the Sunoco decal has the words Gas and Oil incorporated into the decal.
- The frame has metal steps at each corner -- generally assumed to be 1946 production.
- The original Art Deco box is the early variation without the American Toys logo on the sides. Additionally, the box is solid, includes both end and tuck flaps and has all four interior flaps. Lastly, the correct original insert is included and free of tears and damage.
