Here's a nice and clean set of 2343 Santa Fe F3 AA diesels from 1952. These Santa Fe locomotives are decorated with the popular silver, red and yellow war-bonnet Santa Fe paint scheme frequently seen along the western railroad landscape during the 1950's and 1960's. The exterior shells are clean, the yellow and red decorations are crisp plus the side lettering, graphics and decals are all in nice condition. Additionally, the frames, trucks and internal components are clean and free of rust and oxidation. There shells are free of chips, cracks and damage but there are a couple of surface nicks and marks preventing the units from being graded at a 7, but they are very close to condition 7.
Both units have been tested and the motors run nice and smooth, both headlights do illuminate, the e-unit cycles properly, the magnetraction wheels work as designed and the couplers work fine. As for the functional horn, it has been battery tested and the horn works and sounds great, but the relay operating the horn is not functional. It might be a simple repair -- or the diesel might need a new relay.
If you looking for a nice and clean set of Santa Fe diesels to operate on a layout, these Santa Fe's can easily accomplish that goal.
