Up for sale is a beautiful and complete Norfolk & Western Gantry Crane from the mid-1980's. This accessory is complete, free of damage, nicks and chips, there is no rust nor oxidation on the unit, however it will need some TLC to operate properly. Below is a summary of the crane and it's functionality:
- The controller is complete, free of damage and all controller levers move properly.
- The manual crank to raise the boom works properly.
- The control lever and motor to raise and lower the hook works properly and as designed by Lionel.
- The control lever to rotate the cab needs some attention as it does not rotate left nor right. The can motor does work properly when activated by the controller lever. However, the cab does not rotate. This issue is generally (but not always) due to a worn drive belt between the can motor and gears. For those ambitious to work on this crane, a brand new reproduction belt is included which should fix this functionality.
- The original box is complete and solid and includes all three original packing inserts.
- Lastly, the original instructions, warranty card and Service Station Listing paperwork is also included with the accessory.
