Now available for sale is the first year variation of the Texas Special diesel with a horizontal motor and porthole lens on both the A and B units. This particular diesel set has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and all functionality operates just as designed by Lionel -- including the horn, front coupler, e-unit and headlight. The exterior colors are clean, however, as seen in the photos above this is a well used set as there are plenty of surface nicks, marks and blemishes from years of usage. The diesels are free of rust and oxidation plus nothing is broken, however there is some minor corrosion damage by the battery compartment and the B unit silver frame has been repainted. If you're looking for a smooth running operate grade set of F3's at an affordable price, this could be the set for you.
