Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, near-new and all-original 2242 New Haven Fe from the late 1950's. This hard-to-find diesel combination has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operates perfectly. The e-unit cycles properly, the headlight does illuminate, the front coupler operates correctly and the horn is functional.
Externally, the colors on each unit are vibrant while the side lettering and graphics are in pristine condition. The power unit has the correct number boards and both frames are clean with only minor signs of usage. Lastly, there is no rust, oxidation nor tarnishing on either diesel. Overall, an absolutely beautiful set of New Haven diesels that would look great in a display case or on your layout.
