Here's a gorgeous, near-new Rio Grande A Alco diesel that was manufactured for only a single year: 1962. The 222 is a fairly common, however locating this diesel in high collector condition is not an easy task. This particular Alco diesel has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and is ready to run on your layout or proudly visible in a display case. The exterior colors are vibrant while the side lettering is crisp and complete. The only apology to the external appearance is some paint loss above one cab window, probably due to handling. Additionally, the frame, trucks and wheels are free of rust and oxidation and all functionality operates as designed by Lionel. Lastly, there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the shell, the interior is as clean as the exterior, the unit is free of rust and oxidation and simply put, this Alco A diesel looks factory fresh!
