Up for sale is the somewhat hard-to-find first year 2046 steam locomotive and tender from 1950. Both units are all-original, have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced tested and ready for your layout. The exterior color is clean and the side lettering and numbers are crisp and complete. There are no dings nor damage on the steamer nor tender, however there are a handful of very minor and small surface marks from 70 years of hauling freight on the Lionel railway. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on the frame, trucks nor couplers.
Also included with the steamer is an original steam locomotive box -- properly dated 1950. The tender box is a reproduction box as are both inserts are reproduction items. Lastly, original instructions -- dated 1950 -- are included with this set.
