Now available for sale is an extremely clean, all-original set of hard-to-find Santa Fe Alco locomotives wearing the freight colors of the Santa Fe railroad. These one-year-only diesels from 1957 have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and work perfectly. The exterior colors are vibrant and the side lettering and decals are crisp, clean and complete. Additionally, both frames are clean and free of rust and oxidation and one of the front aprons has a hairline crack, although nothing is missing.
Also included is the rarely seen master carton, individual boxes and instructions for these Alco locomotives. All boxes are complete with all interior and exterior flaps, are solid and they are free of writing and holes. The original operating instructions are correctly dated 1957, plus a Lionel Service Station booklet is included as well as an original tube of lubricant.
