Now available for sale is a stunning, near-new, all-original 2026 Prairie steam locomotive with a 6466W whistling tender from 1951. This steamer and tender combination is the later variation without nickel-rimmed drive wheels and having the 2-6-4 wheel arrangement.
Both the steam locomotive and whistling tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. The e-unit cycles properly, the smoke unit operates perfectly, the front headlight does illuminate and the tender whistle is loud and strong. The exterior colors are nice and clean, the side lettering is crisp and clean and the drive rods are original parts. Lastly, the tender shell is an original shell and neither the tender nor steamer show any signs of rust nor oxidation.
