Now available for sale is a beautiful, all-original postwar K-4 Pacific steam locomotive and tender from the first year of production: 1947. This steamer has the correct aluminum stack along with the correct 2466WX tender -- with an original tender shell and frame. Both units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and all functionality works exactly as designed plus the smoke unit puffs like a chimney! There is no damage to either item, the exterior colors are vibrant and ths side lettering and numbers are crisp and clean. Lastly, the steamer boiler front is an original 1947 item with '2025' correctly stamped onto the front.
As for the boxes, they are a nice matching set for this locomotive. Both boxes are complete with all internal and external flaps, plus each box includes an original and complete insert. The steamer box is beautiful, solid and free of writing and stains. The tender box is complete with all flaps and insert, but as seen in the photos, there is some aging and/or soiling on the exterior. Lastly, there are no tears, writing nor exterior puncture holes on the boxes, the printing is vibrant and complete and the steam locomotive box is an overstamped 675 box.
