Up for sale is a beautiful, one-year-only Seaboard GM-type switcher from 1998. This road switcher was one of the first offerings in the Postwar Celebration Series and was modeled after the 1954 Lionel 6250 road switcher. Even today, many collectors and operators still find this prototypical and colorful paint scheme attractive nearly 70+ years after its initial introduction.
When compared to the postwar version, this diesel has the added features of sound and digital control as well as added play of TMCC and Railsounds when compared to the original version. However, it can still be run in conventional transformer mode and features of this diesel include:
