Now available for sale is a gorgeous entry level steam locomotive and non-whistling tender from the early 1960's. These entry level scout locomotives are usually located in well used condition and nice, clean, collector quality examples are getting harder to locate.
For this steamer and tender combination, the locomotive is in condition 8 while the tender is a gem at 7++. The exterior colors are vibrant, the side lettering is crisp and clean plus the side rods and all metal components are nice and clean. Internally, the units are clean and have been thoroughly serviced, tested and run perfectly. This steamer is a forward-only locomotive and flies around the track! Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on the frames, trucks nor couplers. Overall, a really nice set of entry level scout components from the early 1960's.
