Up for sale is a beautiful, New Old Stock Burlington five car extruded aluminum passenger set from 1980. Marketed by Lionel as The Burlington Texas Zephyr, these passenger cars remain popular today with both collectors and operators. Included in the set are the following components:
- 9576 Silver Pouch Baggage Car
- 9577 Silver Halter Pullman Coach
- 9578 Silver Gladiola Pullman Coach
- 9579 Silver Kettle Vista Dome Coach
- 9580 Silver Viranda Observation Coach
Each of these passenger cars have never been used and is truly in brand-new condition. The external colors are spotless, the side graphics and lettering are pristine plus the base, trucks and couplers are new with no signs of usage, rust nor oxidation. Features of the passenger cars include:
- Illuminated interiors
- Four wheel die-cast trucks
- Functional couplers on each end -- except for the observation car which has only one functional coupler
