Up for sale is a New Old Stock Erie bay window caboose produced in the late 1970's. This caboose is modeled from the mid-1960's postwar Erie caboose, but updated with current Lionel manufacturing standards. The caboose has never been used and is truly in brand-new condition -- even the separately applied top simulated smoke stack is still taped to the base of the frame. Additionally, the caboose has the traditional Symington-Wayne trucks with functional couplers. Lastly, the external colors are spotless, the side graphics and lettering are pristine, the base, trucks and couplers are new with no signs of usage, rust nor oxidation plus the interior light has been tested and does operate properly.
Also included with the caboose is a complete and solid original box. The box has all flaps and the front cellophane panel is complete and intact.
