Here's the popular Milwaukee Road F3 AA diesels from Lionel's 1975 Service Station Special set. These diesels have the popular and colorful traditional Milwaukee Road external paint scheme plus they are both brand new, never used and truly New Old Stock inventory from 1975. Externally, the diesel have pristine colors with vibrant side lettering and graphics although the front decal on the power unit has started to crack due to age. Internally, the frame, motor and trucks are as clean as the exterior and free or rust and oxidation. The motor has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and it runs like a champ. Lastly, the lights work properly, the front couplers are fully operational but the e-unit is inconsistent and occassionally skips reverse.
Also included with the diesel are all original paperwork items including:
- Warranty cards.
- Lionel Service Station Listing from 1973 / 1974.
- Two original boxes that are solid and complete with all flaps, but as seen in the photos there is some light moisture staining on the exterior. Internally, the syrofoam inserts are complete and not damaged.
