Condition: Var Original Box: 5 Year: 1972
Up for sale is the uncatalogued, one-year-only and somewhat hard-to-find non-powered Santa Fe GP-9 diesel from 1972. This diesel and original box have some unique conditions, which are summarized below:
- The shell of the Santa Fe diesel is gorgeous! There are no nicks, chips, cracks nor exterior signs of usage. The colors are vibrant and the side lettering is pristine. Additionally, the window struts are complete, the interior windows are present and the side metal railings are complete. Condition of the shell is an 8 to a 9 -- it's beautiful!
- The frame of the unit does have some issues. There has been some moisture damage at one point in time as one side of the frame is missing some minor paint near the center plue there are small signs of rust and oxidation one one end railing (see photo 8). Additionally, one truck is missing the small piece of plastic below the coupler (see photo 9). This missing plastic section is cosmetic only as the coupler is still fully functional. Condition of the frame is a 6.
- The original box and insert also have some moisture damage. The box does have all flaps, but is missing the front clear window panel. The insert is complete and even includes the Mr. Dealer flap as well as three styrofoam inserts and the original warranty card! Condition of the box and insert are a 6.
