Now available for sale is a somewhat hard-to-find Chesapeake & Ohio steam locomotive and tender that was only manufactured for a single year: 1971. This steamer has a die-cast boiler along with the electronic sounds of steam in the tender. Both units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and they work perfectly. The two position e-unit cycles properly, the headlight does illuminate, the electronic sounds of steam is functional and the smoke unit does puff smoke as designed by Lionel.
Externally, the paint and graphics are nice and clean although there are a couple of apologies on the steamer including one of the tiny front step on the cowcatcher is missing and one marker light has been repaired. Lastly, both the steamer and tender are free of rust and oxidation. Overall, a nice, clean and fully functional operator grade locomotive.
