Now available for sale is the somewhat hard-to-find Detroit & Mackinac quad hopper from the early 1960's. This near-new freight car was only manufactured for three years (1960 - 1962) and has a gorgeous exterior colors, perfect side lettering and is free of any surface nicks, marks or blemishes. Additionally, the truck mounting plates are clean, the trucks and couplers are complete and functional plus the center brace is free of rust and there are no cracks where the brace mounts to the hopper sides.
Also included with the freight car is its original box. The box is solid, has nice colors but is missing the end flap on one end plus there is clear tape on the interior of several flaps.
