Now available for sale is the first variation of the infamous postwar Lionel turbine from 1946 -- with the smoke bulb used as the heating element for the smoke pills. The exterior colors on both the locomotive and tender are gorgeous plus the side numbers and lettering are crisp, clean and complete. The boiler front has the correct black herald with the 6200 in the center plus the tender's shell is original and includes the correct silver letters for 1946. Both the turbine and whistling tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to haul your freight cars or passenger cars around your layout. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on either item and all functionality operates properly such as the headlight, e-unit, smoke unit bulb and whistle.
