Here's a gorgeous black New York Central gondola from 1957. This black color option was a one-year-only variation from 1957 and is harder to locate than most collectors and operators realize. The freight car wheels have that have never been on the track and are truly un-run. The exterior colors are pristine, the side lettering is perfect and the base and trucks are in new condition. Additionally, all metal components are factory fresh and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, the canisters are complete, not damaged and have nice and crisp exterior printing. Overall, an absolutely stunning and brand new freight car that will enhance any collection.
