Now available for sale is a New Old Stock # 6530 Firefighting Instructions box car manufactured in the early 1960's!
This popular box car is the perfect companion for the limited series of firefighting trains manufactured by Lionel such as the 52 Fire Fighting motorized unit, 3512 Fireman & Ladder car and 6512 Cherry Picker flatcar. Although this freight car is a bit hard-to-find, in today's market, locating a new, un-run car is near-impossible. Externally, this unit has vibrant colors, crisp and complete side lettering and graphics plus there are no surface nicks, chips nor blemishes on the exterior. Internally, the frame, trucks and side door guides are all clean and free of rust and oxidation plus the wheels show no signs of ever being on the track. The only exterior item to note is the original white doors are showing their age and no longer a pure white but an off-white or mild cream color -- which is very common for these original doors. Overall, a gorgeous item that looks factory fresh and will look amazing in a display case or on any layout.
