Up for sale is a beautiful, all-original 6520 searchlight flatcar with the harder-to-find maroon generator and dark crackle gray light housing. This freight car has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and the light does work properly. There is no rust on the car, trucks nor couplers plus the body is free of nicks, chips and damage. The exterior colors colors are clean and vibrant plus the side lettering is in crisp and complete. Lastly, the on/off mechanism works perfectly.
Also included with the freight car is its original box, a reproduction insert and original instructions. The instructions are dated May 1949 -- which is correct for the maroon generator variation. The original box is solid, has all internal and external flaps including both coupler flaps but all flaps on one end have clear tape on the interior.
