Now available for sale is a beautiful refrigerator box car from 1952. This freight car has a nice and vibrant white exterior that shows no signs of aging nor fading. Additionally, the side lettering and graphics are crisp and complete plus the bar-end trucks, couplers and frame are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, there is nothing nicked, chipped nor cracked on the body.
Also included with the freight car is its original Middle Classic box with a paste-on OPS label. The box is in nice condition as all internal and external flaps are present including both end and tuck flaps, all four inner flaps and both coupler flaps are on the box. One box end is a bit squashed and although the flaps are still attached, they have been re-enforced with clear tape on the interior.
Lastly, there is some pencil writing on one side showing the price of the freight car, sales tax then a 33% discount on the final sale. Overall, a beautiful freight car and box that is generally found in less than collectable condition.
