Up for sale is a beautiful, molded red New York Central gondola from the mid-1950's. This freight car has the correct bar-end trucks, six original unstained barrels (which are technically not correct for this car, the barrels should be stained) and no corner steps nor brakewheel. The exterior colors are gorgeous, the side lettering is crisp and complete plus all metal components look clean and factory-fresh. Additionally, there are no chips, cracks nor damage on the body, no rust nor oxidation on the frame nor trucks and features of the freight car include:
- Red unpainted plastic body
- White heat stamped lettering
- Metal underframe
- Lines over "NYC"
- "N" in third panel
- "NEW 2-49"
- Three lines of weights
- No brakewheel
- No steps
- Bar-end trucks with magnetic tab couplers
- "6462" appears of the car while the catalogue number "6462-125" appears on the box
Lastly, the correct Middle Classic box is included with the freight car. The box is clean, solid and has all end, tuck, interior and coupler flaps.
