Up for sale is the one-year-only maroon variation of the 6457 that was manufactured in 1952. This caboose has the correct bar-end trucks (also a one year only option for the 6457), vibrant exterior colors with clean and complete side lettering and graphics. Additionally, there are no stress cracks, nicks nor chips on the caboose and the frame, trucks and end railings are clean and free of rust and oxidation -- but there is some paint peeling on a couple of small locations on the end railings. Lastly, the interior light does illuminate. The maroon version of this caboose is harder-to-find than most people realize -- and this example looks fantastic -- almost condition 8!
