Up for sale is the prototypical-looking Erie freight car from the popular 6454 series of box cars. This freight car is from the 1951 era with staple end trucks, die-cast side doors and no corner steps on the frame. Externally, the colors are vibrant plus the side lettering and graphics are in pristine condition. There is nothing nicked, chipped nor damaged on the box car plus the frame, trucks, door guides and couplers are clean and free or rust and oxidation. Overall, a gorgeous box car that is in near-new condition!
Also included with the Erie freight car is the correct original box. This short version was used in 1950 through 1952 but is in poor condition as all flaps are missing on one end as seen in the photos above.
