Up for sale is a stunning Fort Knox box car that is difficult to find in pristine condition these days. According to the prior owner, this freight car was purchased from Madison Hardware in the early 1990's when their inventory was moved from New York City to Michigan. However, there is no paperwork supporting this history, although the external condition is consistent with many items sold from the Michigan location; unrun, and in fantastic condition.
This box car has a factory fresh vibrant silver exterior, gorgeous side lettering and graphics and best of all, no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the exterior. Additionally, the base, trucks and couplers are as clean as the body and the wheels show no signs of ever being run on a track. Overall, a gorgeous box car that does not often surface for sale in this condition.
