Up for sale is a gorgeous 6424 flatcar with two rare original automobiles, the highly unusual flatcar variation with the 6805 rail stops and the later -- and somewhat hard-to-find -- Perforated Panel original box.

Both the freight car and original automobiles are in beautiful condition and compliment each other in terms of condition and quality. This scarce flatcar -- with the 6805 rail stops at each end -- is one of the hardest postwar flatcars to locate. The body of this flatcar is clean and shows no contact marks, no flaws and no problems plus all metal parts are factory fresh and free of rust. The wheels and AAR trucks have been cleaned and show very limited use.

Regarding the automobiles, both are the rarer color variations for the 6424 freight car. The first auto is the cream-colored variation with a true cream color exterior that has not faded, is vibrant and free of nicks and marks. However, the bumpers on the cream auto have tarnished with age but otherwise the car shows limited evidence of use. The second rare colored auto is the dark yellow or mustard colored automobile and it too has beautiful exterior colors and free of nicks, chips and usage marks.

Lastly, the very hard-to-find, original 6424-110 Perforated Panel box is a brick with all 6 original flaps, great colors and bold, crisp, graphics. It is correctly numbered 6424-115 on the tuck flap plus it has some inside taped on an end flap and outside tape remnants on one end. The perforated and panel is 99% complete and even includes the elusive thumb slot cover!

Overall, with the three rare items for this freight car -- the auto colors, flatcar variation with rail stops and a hard-to-find box variation -- this could easily be the gem of your collection!
