Now available for sale is the first variation of the 6357 illuminated caboose from the early 1950's. This caboose has the SP lettering, staple-end trucks and no smokestack. Externally, the caboose has gorgeous colors with complete side lettering and graphics. There are no nicks, chips nor damage on the caboose and the interior light does work properly. However the roof has some minor spotting in a couple of roof panels, otherwise the sides look fantastic and closer to condition 8! Lastly, this caboose is free of rust and oxidation and the light has been rewired.
Also included with the caboose is the correct Middle Classic original box. The box is the longer version with coupler flaps at each end. The box is solid, has both end and both tuck flaps, three of the four inner flaps but is missing both coupler flaps.
