Up for sale is a beautiful and all-original New York Central culvert gondola from the later 1950's. This freight car has the earlier bar-end trucks but with the lighter or medium red body -- which is usually associated to the 1957-era. Externally, the colors are vibrant while the side lettering and graphics are crisp, complete and nice and white. The culverts, frame, trucks, couplers and interior culvert tray are all free of rust and oxidation. Additionally, the freight car includes seven original culverts although the culvert have aging marks or spots on the exterior. Overall, an extremely clean freight car that is free of nicks, chips and damage.
