Up for sale is a gorgeous and near-new 6175 Flatcar w/ US Navy Rocket. This freight car has a factory fresh exterior with vibrant colors, clean side lettering plus an original postwar rocket. The freight car is in perfect condition with nothing nicked, chipped nor damaged plus the trucks, coupler and wheels are free of rust and oxidation and show only the faintest signs of ever being on the track. Additionally, the original rocket is complete and not nicked, chipped nor cracked. The elastic tie-down band appears to be an original postwar component, but has lost its elasticity due to its age. Finally, the belly of the rocket is nice and white, the top and base are complete and only the front sponge has deteriorated with age.
Also included with the freight car is its original Perforate Panel box. The box is complete, but there are tears and clear tape on both the exterior and interior, however, it's still a decent box that is generally missing from the freight car. Overall, a gorgeous Space & Military freight car that does not often surface for sale in this condition.
