Now available for sale is the hard-to-find 617 Santa Fe NW-2 diesel switcher that was manufactured for only one year: 1963. This NW-2 locomotive has a gorgeous shell, easily in condition 8 to 8+, it's a gem! The colors are vibrant while the side lettering and front graphics are in perfect condition. The only apology on the shell is the front screwhole does have the typical hairline crack from the lower portion of the screwhole to the bottom of the shell.
The frame too is nice and clean, free of rust and oxidation, however it does have some surface marks / scratches by one edge. These marks can be seen in Photo 11 above -- although most of these marks are cover when the shell is mounted to the frame (as seen in the 12th photo above). Internally, the trucks and motor are in great condition. The motor has been tested and runs perfectly plus the light works, the e-unit cycles properly and the horn has been battery tested and operates flawlessly.
