Up for sale is a clean, complete and all-original A. T. & S. F. work caboose. This particular caboose has the following production characteristics, dating it to the 1966 / 1967 era:
- Unpainted cab and tool bin
- Bronze-colored frame without 'Lionel' lettering on the metal frame
- Dual functional couplers with late AAR trucks having open journals
- Blank builders plate on each side of the cab
This Santa Fe work caboose has beautiful exterior colors, clean and crisp side lettering and graphics plus there are no chips, nicks nor stress marks on the caboose nor tool bin. Additionally, the frame, trucks and coupler are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Overall condition of the caboose is close to an 8 and is simply a nice caboose that would fit in perfectly with a crane car or at the end of a work train.
