Now available for sale is a near-new, barely used Reading operating hopper that was manufactured for only a single year: 1982. This somewhat hard-to-find freight car is modeled off of the popular postwar 3456 N & W hopper from the early 1950's. Externally, the hopper has gorgeous colors with crisp, clean and complete side lettering and graphics. Additionally, the die-cast sprung metal trucks and frame are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Overall, a beautiful hopper that is not often available for sale.
Also included with the freight car is the original box. The box is complete with all interior and exterior flaps, but there are some tears on the box and part of the front cellophane window has become unglued from the box.
