Now available for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, molded red Lionel Lines caboose from the 1951 - 1953 era. The exterior color is in pristine condition while the side lettering is extremely clean and white and shows no signs of fading nor usage. The base and bar end trucks are clean and free of rust and oxidation plus the end railings are in perfect condition. This is the earlier variation without the engraving on top of the coupler knuckle.
Also included is a Middle Classic box from the early 1950's, which includes all internal and external flaps, including the coupler flap! This is a somewhat hard caboose to locate in collector condition as production of the earlier red versions were far less compared to the later variation with AAR trucks from the late 1950's and into the 1960's.
