Up for sale is the scarce # 462 Derrick Platform set from the early 1960's. This accessory has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and although it operates as designed by Lionel, it's very temperamental (as well as poorly designed) and best suited as a static display and not for usage. The accessory platform surface is clean with a nice light brown painted surface and only minor surface marks from usage. Additionally, the platform is complete and not cracked nor damaged plus all three hand controls work as designed by Lionel.
Both radioactive containers are original postwar components. Each container has the typical hairline crack where the wire bale is secured to the top. Unfortunately, only one wire bale is present, the second one is missing.
