Up for sale is an early light gray base version of the # 397 Coal Loader with many original components as manufactured by Lionel. The accessory itself is in gorgeous condition with a clean base, vibrant colors and nothing is broken, damaged nor cracked. Additionally, the center support structure is free of rust and oxidation plus the conveyor belt is complete and the top deflector shield appears to be a reproduction component. Lastly, the coal loader has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operates perfectly.
Also included are the following items:
- Original box that is nice, square and solid plus the the label colors are crisp and complete. Also, there is one small puncture hole on the side and the original price is written in pencil on one side ($11.75).
- Clean, complete and undamaged original insert.
- Original, clean and complete instructions -- which are actually not dated on the back page, but known by collectors to be the December 1948 instructions.
- Functional, complete and undamaged 364C controller.
- Nice and clean component envelope, but there are small tears and a couple of puncture holes.
- Original bag of # 206 coal.
