Condition: 7++ Original Box: 8 Year: 1965
Now available for sale is a gorgeous operating milk car set that has been thoroughly serviced, tested and is ready to install on your layout or in your display case. The freight car is the somewhat hard-to-find later variation from 1965. It has a very nice unpainted white exterior with crisp, bold, and complete black side lettering and graphics plus an unpainted brown roof, roof hatch, ends, and doors. The lettering includes a circled-L Lionel logo as well as technical data and no "Built Date". Also included is a brake wheel and an operating plunger mechanism with a "rubberized man dressed in white" plus the later variation AAR tucks with open journal boxes. Inside the car the solenoid coil windings were now green in color instead of the long standing orange colored coiled wiring.

- Seven 3662-79 Non-Magnetic Milk Cans
- 3662-79 packed envelope (correct version for 1965 with the correct “The Lionel Toy Corporation” replacing “The Lionel Corporation.”)

- Original 3661-81 Instruction Sheet in Packed Envelope dated 6/65
Note: the green platform base appears to have been repainted.
