Up for sale is a nice and clean, one-year-only variation of the popular cattle car and corral from 1949 containing the orange platform gates. This set is nice and complete and as seen in the photos above, there is no damage to any of the items. Below is a summary of all components.
Please Note: Individually, the components have been tested and do work, however when placed together they simply do not operate perfectly as a set. The eventual buyer can certainly set up this accessory -- as most collectors and operators do -- as a nice and clean non-operating display item. Otherwise, you'll need a lot of time and patience to get all components operating in unison.
- 1949 production with orange gates
- Set of nine original cattle -- each the more common variation with the smooth side on the perimeter of the base
- Instructions dated November 1949
- Complete set of 027 and O gauge track contactors and a 364C controller which is free of chips and cracks
- Early variation of the cattle car without the Armour sticker on each side door and staple-end trucks
- Regarding the original boxes:
- The larger component box is clean, complete and has all interior and exterior flaps but there is clear tape on several interior flaps plus it includes a complete and solid original insert
- The box for the freight car is complete with both end and tuck flaps, all four interior flaps and one of the two coupler flaps
- The cattle box is complete with all flaps and is the 1949 variation with no number printed on either tuck flap
