Now available for sale is a beautiful Reconnaissance Box Car with an original box, instructions and helicopter. This freight car has vibrant exterior colors with clean and crisp side lettering and graphics. There is nothing broken, damaged nor repaired plus the frame and trucks are clean and free or rust and oxidation. Additionally, the helicopter is complete and not damaged, but (appears) to be a reproduction helicopter, although some early 1962 helicopters do not have Built By Lionel stamped onto the tail section. Lastly, the internal mechanism does operate properly.
Finally, the original box and instructions are included. The instructions are clean, free of tears and correctly dated 1962. The Orange Picture box is solid, has all flaps on one end -- including the coupler flap. The opposite end has the end and tuck flap, but missing the two interior flaps.
