Now available for sale is a New Old Stock # 3484-25 A.T. & S.F. operating box car from 1954!
Up for sale is a brand new, never used Lionel 3484-25 Santa Fe box car that was purchased from a collection where a significant number of items were purchased from Madison Hardware in the early 1990's when their inventory was moved from New York City to Michigan. For this particular freight car, there is no documentation indicating it came from Madison Hardware, however the external condition is consistent with many of the items sold out of the Michigan location; the item is unrun, missing its original box and simply looking gorgeous!
This one-year-only box car looks fabulous with pristine external colors as well as bright, crisp and complete side lettering and graphics and not a mark on the body! There is no damage to the external shell, the catwalk ends are complete and there is nothing nicked, chipped nor damaged on the body and the figure is an original postwar component. Lastly, the frame, wheels and trucks are free of rust and oxidation and the wheels show no signs of ever being on the track.
