Up for sale is an extremely clean, complete New York Central operating box car with vibrant exterior colors and clean, crisp side lettering and graphics. This box car is from 1951 as it has staple-end trucks, die-cast doors and no corner steps plus the instructions are dated 1951.
The original Middle Classic box is in perfect condition and near-new -- and includes the extremely rare cardboard wheel insert! Lastly, the box car is not chipped, cracked nor damaged, the operating mechanism has been tested and works properly but there is some box rub on the high areas.
