Now available for sale is a beautiful, all-original New York Central operating box car from 1950. This freight car has the earlier staple-end trucks, no corner footsteps plus black die-cast sliding doors. The exterior colors are vibrant, the side lettering and graphics are crisp, clean and complete and there is no rust nor oxidation on the base, door guides nor trucks. The only apology on this freight car is a small paint flake on the roof (as seen in one of the photos above).
