Up for sale is a beautiful, all-original Erie animated gondola from the mid-1950's. This freight car has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and is ready to run on your layout. Both figures are original postwar components, the exterior colors are vibrant plus the side lettering and graphics are crisp and clean. Additionally, the trucks and couplers are clean and free of rust and oxidation, however the bottom of the frame has a couple of tiny oxidation spots just starting. Lastly, there is nothing broken nor damaged on the freight car.
Also included is a nice and solid original box and original instructions. The box is solid, square and has all interior and exterior flaps -- plus there is no tape on the interior! Externally, the colors are vibrant however there is some minor shelf wear on the box and just a hint of some discoloration on one end. Lastly, the original instructions are complete, dated 1957 and in good condition too.
