Now available for sale is a New Old Stock # 3362 Helium Tank Car from the early 1960's!
This freight car is in gorgeous condition and includes original postwar simulated helium tanks, a factory fresh exterior and pristine side lettering. According to the prior owner, this log car was purchased from Madison Hardware in the early 1990's when their inventory was moved from New York City to Michigan. However, there is no paperwork supporting this history, although the external condition is consistent with many items sold from the Michigan location; unrun, minor surface marks and simply in fantastic condition.
The helium car has original postwar helium tanks with all three having a nice and clean silver exterior. The flatcar is in beautiful condition with a vibrant green body, clean and white side lettering plus the body is free of nicks, chips and cracks. The trucks are complete and functional, the wheels are unrun and never on the track and the only blemish on the freight car is some light / minor oxidation spotting beginning on the base of the frame. Otherwise the rest of the freight car is in new condition.
